Business Writing Training: Conquer Your Business Writing Fears!

You are thinking about online business success, and you see that you need to write posts, write articles, write products, write, write, write. Your moment of courage suddenly has created weak knees and fear. Internet marketing does need business writing, but you can work around it and even better conquer your business writing fears for online business success. Here are some writing fears and some solutions.

1) I was not good in English class.

Put your grammar and punctuation fears to rest. Readers want you to have a good grasp of grammar, punctuation and of course the English language, but they do not expect perfection. They care more about the content of the material.

2) I am not a writer.

You only need 250 words for most article sites. You can have less than that for your blog. You can create videos, but 250 words is not much. With five short paragraphs you can get close.

3) What if I write too much like others?

Be yourself. Do not copy the writings of another blogger or article author; that is called plagiarism and it's illegal. Do not steal images others bought or created themselves. Your voice and unique touch is what people want. When you research, take a break after to make certain what you write is in your own voice.

4) I am not as good a writer as...

You may feel your unique voice is not worthy, but the reason there are so many soda choices is because people have different things they like. Your unique voice in business writing will be right for the right people.

5) I can't write that much.

Start with an introductory paragraph, tell your readers what you are going to cover. Use the next three to explain in greater detail. Answer the who, what, when, where, why and how that people may ask about what you are covering. Then write a conclusion to summarize it. You're done!

6) I do not know enough.

When you were in second grade you knew more than a first grader. Within any niche you've been in for some time, you know more than someone who just came into it. Don't let a lack of expertise stop your business writing.

7) I will not know enough to keep writing.

Think when you started in your niche, write what you wish you had known. Write about what problems you have had and how you conquered them. Answer questions people have about your niche.

8) I will not have the right answer.

Do a little bit of research. See if you can find an answer if not, find alternatives that you know.

9) What if I still do not have enough material?

Remember people have different points of view or slightly different problems and try to cover those. Discuss advantages, disadvantages and comparisons.

10) I do not have time for business writing.

Spend 30 minutes each day. Alternatively you can spend 3 hours one day writing. You just need a little time. Write one post a week, one article, one page of a report each week. At the end of a year you will have 52 blog posts, 52 articles and at least five reports. Imagine how that would feel!
